These conditions apply whenever you browse Hawaii Criminal History, read its material, or use a search tool. Using the service signals acceptance of every term below. Stop using it if you do not agree.

NO FCRA USE. Hawaii Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions, or for any other use regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, not a Hawaii agency. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify HCJDC, the Hawaii Judiciary, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Hawaii Sex Offender and Other Covered Offender Registry, and the county police routes that maintain the source material. Hawaii government-record access is governed by the Uniform Information Practices Act, HRS Chapter 92F, and criminal-history dissemination by HRS Chapter 846. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked tool may be used to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, injure, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Hawaii's registry warning is especially important: public covered-offender data supports safety awareness, not confrontation or vigilante conduct. Misuse can lead to criminal prosecution, civil liability, or both.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come through an authorized official channel or a service that lawfully complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Hawaii records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Hawaii attorney can assess how a charge, warrant, conviction, expungement rule, or court order applies to a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, custody, sealing, and expungement status can change. Gaps or delay are possible, and no text or linked result should be treated as an official statement from a Hawaii court or agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to state agency pages, court portals, county sheriff and clerk sites, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Hawaii Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or build upon that material.
