About Hawaii Criminal History

Hawaii criminal records are divided among HCJDC, the state Judiciary, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the covered-offender registry, and the police agencies serving the state's five county equivalents. Knowing which office owns a record is often the hardest part. We built this resource to make that route clear, from a statewide conviction check to the county police or circuit court source behind the original event.

Why We Built This Site

Hawaii offers useful public systems, yet each system answers a different question. HCJDC maintains the statewide criminal-history repository and eCrim conviction product. DCR handles state custody, HCJDC runs the Hawaii Sex Offender and Other Covered Offender Registry, and the unified Judiciary indexes criminal cases through eCourt Kōkua. County police departments still create most arrest and incident records. The site brings those statewide channels together and then uses the county directory to reach local police, custody, and circuit details.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference resource, with no affiliation to a Hawaii court, police department, DCR, HCJDC, or any other government body. Those limits mean:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

An official copy must come from the office that issued or maintains it, such as HCJDC, a Hawaii court, DCR, or the police agency that created the record. We identify those sources but cannot issue their documents.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes found on some pages. They control their services, prices, data, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee for us, which supports free access to the reference content. We do not control a provider's charges or the records it returns.
